Watch: The New ‘Dunkirk’ Trailer

Dunkirk, the next film from Christopher Nolan, has an exciting new trailer for you to fixate over. The film tells the true story of Allied soldiers from Belgium, the British Empire, Canada and France who find themselves surrounded by the German army and evacuated during a fierce battle in World War II. Nolan has assembled quite the cast, including Aneurin Barnard,Kenneth Branagh, James D’Arcy, Cillian Murphy, Mark Rylance, Harry Styles and Tom Hardy. Dunkirk opens June 21, 2017.

In May 1940, Germany advanced into France, trapping Allied troops on the beaches of Dunkirk. Under air and ground cover from British and French forces, troops were slowly and methodically evacuated from the beach using every serviceable naval and civilian vessel that could be found. At the end of this heroic mission, 330,000 French, British, Belgian and Dutch soldiers were safely evacuated.
